Congratulations to Spain, winners of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the competition's history.

After a game that at times more resembled unarmed combat than "the beautiful game" Spain were the eventual winners.

Although Dutch Striker Arjen Robben will have induced a few heart attacks towards the end.

The Spanish Heart Foundation has two main aims:

  • Preventing heart disease through health education and raising the awareness on the adoption of healthy lifestyle.
  • Promoting and supporting the development of cardiovascular research in Spain by awarding grants to projects

The web site provides a wealth of information on prevention, nutrition and exercise as well as advice and guidance to patients and families effected by cardiac diseases.

About Brian Teeman

  • As a co-founder of Joomla! and OpenSourceMatters Inc I've never been known to be lacking an opinion or being too afraid to express it.

Despite what some people might think I'm a shy and modest man who doesnt like to blow his own trumpet or boast about achievements.

But it seems that no blog exists without an "About" page so rather than talk about what an amazingly great guy I am and list all the things I've achieved (and failed at) in life from my Cycling Proficiency Test in 1976 to winning an award for the "UK Individual Contribution to Open / Source" in 2005 here are some links.
