For most people in England when they think of visiting Spain they only travel to the Mediterranean coastal resorts.

The only thing Spanish they will ever see is tourist only Flamenco dance whilst they eat a "full english breakfast" or "fish and chips", all washed down with large quantities of English lager.

They miss out on the cultural and historical sites especially the city of Toledo located in the center of the country which has perhaps one of the richest histories of all.

Leyendas de Toledo is dedicated to explaining the culture, traditions and history of the city and especially its many legends, mysteries and curiosities in a modern and dynamic way.

With an average of 800-1500 unique visits a day it is one of the first websites ranked in Google when searching "Toledo" (Spain), ahead of important government and business sites. The site receives input from others in the form of text, photographs, multimedia, although it is fully managed by one person, thanks to Joomla.

In 2007, the site received the award for best website in the region of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), awarded by the regional government.

About Brian Teeman

  • As a co-founder of Joomla! and OpenSourceMatters Inc I've never been known to be lacking an opinion or being too afraid to express it.

Despite what some people might think I'm a shy and modest man who doesnt like to blow his own trumpet or boast about achievements.

But it seems that no blog exists without an "About" page so rather than talk about what an amazingly great guy I am and list all the things I've achieved (and failed at) in life from my Cycling Proficiency Test in 1976 to winning an award for the "UK Individual Contribution to Open / Source" in 2005 here are some links.
