The Joomla World Cup - Chile

Written by Brian Teeman

The Santiago Times has been Chile’s most important English language newspaper for the last 20 years.

With a "dead tree" print edition published five days a week, it's unlike some "english language" newspapers published in non-english countries as it actualy publishes real hard news and not "tourist" information.

The newspaper and web site are mainly staffed by expats and exchage students living in Santiago and they are dedicated to continually gather the best, most accurate information about Chile!

The web site itself uses the RocketTheme Terran Tribune template and several joomla extensions including morfeoshow and community builder and extensive use of the rok_mininews module on the home page.

About Brian Teeman

  • As a co-founder of Joomla! and OpenSourceMatters Inc I've never been known to be lacking an opinion or being too afraid to express it.

Despite what some people might think I'm a shy and modest man who doesnt like to blow his own trumpet or boast about achievements.

But it seems that no blog exists without an "About" page so rather than talk about what an amazingly great guy I am and list all the things I've achieved (and failed at) in life from my Cycling Proficiency Test in 1976 to winning an award for the "UK Individual Contribution to Open / Source" in 2005 here are some links.
