A few weeks ago I wrote that Joomla and Virtuemart were not the ideal solution for creating an ecommerce website. (Read it here).
Feedback on that was fairly divided and it was suggested that "my" problem was that I didn't really know Virtuemart well enough.
So, never one to turn down the opportunity to learn from the source I decided to go to Virtuemart Day and JoomlaDay in Germany later this month.
Across three distinct days there is a wide range of German and international speakers so I'm really looking forward to the event. The venue itself really looks somethig special, Elvis really does live deep in the heart of Germany.
Where else can you go and find so many great speakers in one place. And if you are really lucky perhaps Johan, Wilco and myself will perform "Heart Break Hotel" or maybe you would prefer to hear Fotis with "You gave me a mountain".
As a co-founder of Joomla! and OpenSourceMatters Inc I've never been known to be lacking an opinion or being too afraid to express it.
Despite what some people might think I'm a shy and modest man who doesnt like to blow his own trumpet or boast about achievements.
But it seems that no blog exists without an "About" page so rather than talk about what an amazingly great guy I am and list all the things I've achieved (and failed at) in life from my Cycling Proficiency Test in 1976 to winning an award for the "UK Individual Contribution to Open / Source" in 2005 here are some links.
