If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be ...
writing a new song, or researching material for a new song, or playing with javascript.

I wish people would take more notice of ...
the life that goes on around them outside of themselves.

A phrase I use far too often is ...
Perhaps.

The most suprising thing that has happened to me is ...
meeting my husband almost 17 years ago by being the opening act for his touring band.  I got dropped from the show at the last minute, but went to the show anyways.  Sometimes bad luck turns into the best thing that ever happened to you.

I'm good at ...
Singing and cooking.  Sometimes both at the same time.

I'm very bad at ...
House cleaning.  Really, really bad.

The ideal night out is ...
Staying in!  Co-writing with my husband while I cook up fabulous meals.

The best age to be is ...
Whatever age you are.

What did you dream of becoming as a child?
An archaeologist.

My philosophy on life is ...
Live, love and laugh.  A lot.

How did you get involved in Joomla?
I was turned on to Mambo at the time by my hosting company Rochen and by Brad Baker.  That led to Joomla, and being a part of something that was truly exciting.

I am involved in Joomla because ....
On top of it being fun, I see it as an opportunity to learn, contribute and help others.

What one feature would you like to see in Joomla?
ACL is coming so I would have to say a higher level of usability and accessibility.

What is the first extension you install in Joomla?
JCE

Complete the sentance "Joomla rocks the world because ..."
"it is a solid CMS choice for everyone from beginner to expert, and the Community is there to help everyone if/when needed."

About Brian Teeman

  • As a co-founder of Joomla! and OpenSourceMatters Inc I've never been known to be lacking an opinion or being too afraid to express it.

Despite what some people might think I'm a shy and modest man who doesnt like to blow his own trumpet or boast about achievements.

But it seems that no blog exists without an "About" page so rather than talk about what an amazingly great guy I am and list all the things I've achieved (and failed at) in life from my Cycling Proficiency Test in 1976 to winning an award for the "UK Individual Contribution to Open / Source" in 2005 here are some links.
