If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be ...
mowing my lawn, answering student questions, answering emails, building some Joomla site, or playing my flute

I wish people would take more notice of ...
how all good websites are well-labeled and easy to follow. They don't feature a lot of whiz-bang technologies. They feature clear navigation and deliver exactly what they promise. And they don't have to have a lot of bleeding edge technologies to be cool or interesting.

A phrase I use far too often is ...
It Depends!
Done is better than perfect!
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
How cool is that?

The most suprising thing that has happened to me is ...
I'm single again as of Thursday, and it's quite liberating. :-)

I'm good at ...
HTML, CSS, Joomla template construction, information architecture, usability, and teaching Joomla concepts.

I'm very bad at ...
anything involving power tools and gardening. Also PHP and MySQL.

The ideal night out is ...
quiet dinner with one other interesting person who can keep a conversation going. Does not have to be romantic in nature!

The best age to be is ...
39, what I am right now!

What did you dream of becoming as a child?
An astronomer, a world-famous flutist, a band director, a marine ecologist

My philosophy on life is ...
it's not what life hands you, it's what you make of it.

How did you get involved in Joomla?
Had a former employer who made me build sites in Mambo, then Joomla. After taking 8 months to think that I might have some clue about what I was doing (there was no documentation back then), I decided I liked it enough to quit my job but keep using Joomla.

I am involved in Joomla because ....
I know it well enough to teach it, I meet interesting people from all over the world, and Bill and I have a blast working together with it.

What one feature would you like to see in Joomla?
the ability to create a piece of content, add it to a menu, assign modules to it, and assign a template to it, all from the front end in an easy-to-use interface that works great for the least tech-savvy clients.

What is the first extension you install in Joomla?
Usually Mass ContentMass Content.

Complete the sentance "Joomla rocks the world because ..."
...iI don't have to know any PHP to make really great websites!
