How did you get involved in Joomla?
I work full time as a Web Services Manager at a top UK college and for many years I was creating the websites statically using Dreamweaver and Fireworks. There are over 30 departments at this college and it came to a point where each individual wanted something special (be it in design or functionality) and they always needed it at a drop of a hat. Being a one man department, it was always impossible to provide this service and I have always prided myself on the service so I had to find a solution to this proble. I initially attempted Drupal but wasn’t convinced, I then came across Joomla! And fell in love. It offered everything, easy to use (so I can train staff members), more extensions I could imagine and beautiful templates available from all over the place. It has simply changed the way I work completely and I champion Joomla! wherever and whenever I can.
I am involved in Joomla because ....
It simply changed my life...it just makes my day to day life easier.
What one feature would you like to see in Joomla?
Maybe a file manager type system, similar to Dreamweaver where I could drag and drop docs, images, movie files etc...Maybe I want life to be too easy?
